Azo Portfolio

In 2005 the Eastman Kodak Company discontinued the manufacture of all black and white photographic printing papers, including Azo, the last of the silver chloride papers, We have written about Azo before and its importance not only to us, but to many other photographers as well. We are determined to have a replacement silver chloride paper made. But the cost is staggering. To finance the purchase of the new paper we are producing a portfolio of photographs—the Azo portfolio.

The Azo Portfolio is produced in an edition of ten portfolios plus two artists' proofs and contains a selection of ten photographs, five 8x20s by Michael and five 8x10s by Paula, archivally mounted and overmatted with two sheets of deckle-edged BFK Rives paper printed letterpress. The portfolio comes in a handmade box bound in heavy linen.

The current retail value of the ten photographs is over $28,000, but to encourage sales at this time we are making an offer we hope you will find hard to refuse: we are offering the first 5 portfolios for only $10,750. (Each portfolio will cost approximately $750 to produce and then we will have $10,000 left to put toward the purchase of the paper.)
