I began to travel a bit. I made, for me, a significant series at a quarry near Lambertville, New Jersey influenced by the book, Prints and Visual Communications by William Ivins. My photographs begin to change from having mostly figure/ground relationships to having an all-over, more complex, way of being put together with more subtle tonalities.
